    charming room
    welcome tray
    thin walls
    weak shower
    no outlets

Charming room with a nicely arranged welcome tray featuring decaf tea, coffee, and a slice of lemon cake.

Thin walls let in sound from the room downstairs, impacting privacy a bit. Weak shower flow, which even stopped partway through—a bit annoying. no electrical outlets near the bed, making charging devices a hassle.

attractive courtyard, interesting independent shops, amazing architecture

No control over the weather making it impossible to enjoy the courtyard in the evening or sit outside in the morning!!! The accommodation has a slight damp feel upon entering, which could be a concern for sensitive guests.

    cozy atmosphere

    weak shower
    musty smell

Staying at Lucy's Tearoom was a real delight. The room felt newly renovated, clean, and spacious. The welcome tray with decaf tea, coffee, and a slice of lemon cake made me feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight—made to order, with fantastic avocado and scrambled eggs on toast. The location right in the heart of town was perfect for exploring. I did notice a slight mustiness when I first arrived, but opening the windows helped. the shower had a bit of a weak flow, which was a little frustrating. I can't wait to return soon!

    lovely staff
    delicious flapjacks
    clean rooms
    steep stairs

Had a great time with friends! The place is lovely, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We enjoyed cycling to the beautiful gardens nearby and the local market. We also appreciated the clean rooms and the delicious flapjacks left for us. It’s in a perfect spot for exploring the area and offered everything we needed.

The only downside was the steep stairs, which were a bit challenging, especially after a long day of cycling.

great stay but with a few quirks

The staff offered incredible service, from the warm welcome to the attentive breakfast team! My room felt bright and airy, making it a lovely retreat after a day out. The breakfast was a highlight—really enjoyed the scrambled eggs with avocado! A sweet little touch was the welcome tray featuring a delightful slice of lemon cake that made me feel at home.

The shower had a weak flow, which made for a less than perfect experience.

Charming ambiance with exceptionally friendly staff who were always eager to help. Breakfast was delightful, and the baked treats in my room added a lovely personal touch. Location was perfect, right on the town square, making it easy to explore.

There were some disturbances from foot traffic as the tearoom was busy during the day.

    Strongly recommend for shopping

Charming room, exceptional service, we were welcomed early and had our bags secured while the staff kindly prepared sandwiches and delicious shortbread since we would miss breakfast due to an early departure. The free wi-fi in rooms made our stay very convenient with lots to explore nearby.

    All was perfect.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and provided fantastic service throughout my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with a bed that felt like sleeping on a marshmallow. Breakfast, though missed due to an early departure, appeared to be a highlight with made-to-order options. The location is perfect for business, right in the heart of town with easy access to amenities.
